    Course Description:
    This one day course was developed to provide ad operations professionals from publishers, ad agencies, ad networks and other companies with a high level overview of the key activities required to manage a campaign and the fundamentals around effective media optimization.

    The course will begin with an overview of campaign management and a basic understanding of media optimization and its importance to the success of a campaign and then go into deeper discussion about identifying under-performing placements and/or ads, understanding performance and managing conversion optimization, utilization of reports to make necessary recommendations on program and placement reallocations, identifying and troubleshooting problems with ads and other issues that can cause under-delivery.

    Who Should Attend?:
    This course will be beneficial to account coordinators and account managers who have been in their role for more than 6 months and/or other ad operations staff seeking to expand their knowledge.

    About the Instructor:
    Doug M. Wintz is founder and principle of DMW MediaWorks, a consultancy in interactive media and operations, with long-term clients that include the market leaders in online health, broadcast television, behavioral targeting and custom publishing.

    Doug began his interactive career with Prodigy in 1988. During that time, he pioneered the sales and development of online applications for automotive clients Toyota, Ford and Autobytel, brokerage firm PCFN (DLJ Direct) and grocers Dominick's and D'Agostino. He led the development of one of the first online ad networks for Softbank, managed sales/operations for game site Uproar and recently served as VP of Digital Media Solutions for Lycos.
